Our Vision

A world free of overdose deaths

OUR MISSION

To diminish the frequency and impact of overdose death through community education, family support and purposeful advocacy primarily in Pinellas County Florida

The NOPE, Narcotics Overdose Prevention and Education, Task Force is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was formed in Palm Beach County, Florida in 2004.

The Pinellas County Chapter of NOPE was established in 2010 and is comprised of community leaders and concerned families working diligently to save lives of those effected by substance abuse.

A community in danger

The number of opioid-related deaths in Pinellas County is rising rapidly. The average number of opioid deaths-per-month increased seventy-eight percent, from 9.7 to 17.0 deaths-per-month in the span of only a year.*

We teach kids and families about the danger of opioids and other prescription drugs with the hope that more people will just say NO to trying drugs in the first place.

Because as too many of us have discovered, even one night of experimentation can lead to death.
